We are currently seeking a Software System Engineer in Test to contribute to the growth of our Telematics software team. The Telematics Software team works on writing software features interacting with the entire vehicle from Telematics Control Unit to achieve critical vehicle functions like Over-The-Air Software Updates for the Vehicle, etc. These technologies are being pioneered in-house at Lucid and are at the cutting edge.

This role is located on-site at Headquarters in Newark, Ca.
  • ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Validate Software features from developers and perform system testing and integration testing on new features
  • Own connectivity software feature validation and new feature integration testing for new feature hand-off to validation team
  • Derive feature test cases, continuously implement test cases and add them into automation framework
  • Perform test runs at various levels of integration, and document test results
  • Report and escalate issues as appropriate and participate in triaging of issues with different teams
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Electrical Engineer
  • 5+ years of industry experience with System testing and white box testing
  • 5+ years of industry experience with Linux Operating System and Computer Networks
  • Experience with scripting languages/tools and methods to optimize testing activities.
  • Strong Proficiency in Shell Scripting (Bash)
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Electrical Engineer
  • Working knowledge of Automotive Protocols such as CAN, UDS, DoIP etc.
  • Working knowledge of Networking protocols such as TCP/UDP, MQTT.
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Python is a plus.
  • Experience in the field of Automotive Telematics Software is a big plus.
  • Understanding of IPC Mechanisms - Sockets, Message Queues, Shared Memory, etc.
