Once reviewed, a member of our employee relations team will reach out to you with a determination.We are looking for a Thermal Mechanical Engineer with experience in thermal mechanical packaging, hardware design, and mechanical validation testing. In this position, you will be part of the Low Voltage Hardware Mechanical team, which is responsible for developing the thermal mechanical management for our Power distribution modules and Gateway ECUs. You will interact with electrical engineers, layout engineers, thermal engineers, SI engineers, embedded system engineers, technical program managers internally and various vendors externally to ensure high quality components are designed.If you're interested in delivering an exciting product that will change the world, let's chat! The Role- Work with cross functional vehicle integration teams to come up with the detailed requirements for thermal mechanical management systems
- Working closely with Packaging team to understand the vehicle level packaging location and verify the thermal performance of the ECUs
- Work with Tier1/2/Contract Manufacturers vendors on component development plan and clarifying technical queries
- Perform FEA and optimize design based on results
- New grad MS or PhD in Thermal-Mechanical engineering discipline with a thesis and/or project work in at least one of these areas of interest - Electronic cooling, Electronic packaging , or MEMS
- Experience or education with a thesis or research work in MEMS and Electronics packaging
- Knowledge with different levels of Electronics packaging
- Proficiency in heat transfer basics
- Experience in thermal simulations from modeling setup to CAD model cleanup
- Demonstrated experience with full ownership of assigned systems/components
- Experience with System validation and instrumentation
- Knowledge with different levels of Electronics packaging. Preferable is Level 4 packaging
- MS or PhD in Thermal-Mechanical engineering discipline with a thesis and/or project work in Electronic cooling
