Our client, a biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Program Management, Clinical Operations

Location: New York, NY / San Diego, CA

Position Type: Contract

Position Summary:

This position will serve as a Program Manager on one or more of Intercept's Program Teams, cross-functional teams responsible for implementing the company's strategy and overseeing global development activities for obeticholic acid (OCA) and our pipeline programs.

The successful candidate must be able to perform each of the following satisfactorily:

-Partner with the Program Leader, program team and other cross-functional colleagues to:

-Develop a comprehensive strategic plan to support Intercept's corporate objectives

-Support translation of strategy into clear tactical plans that will enable successful and timely completion of team goals and move program forward

-Monitor progress and proactively identify and flag risks

-Develop and maintain key project documents

-Ensure seamless communication within team, and between team and senior management

-Facilitate meetings to support delivery of program objectives:

-Meeting planning including suggested cadence based on deadlines, agenda ownership, managing interdependencies between different workstreams

-Active meeting management, ensure appropriate topics brought to the team for discussion and decision-making

-Prepare and distribute team meeting agendas and minutes

-Identify action items and manage execution in collaboration with the team leader

-Partner with the cross-functional colleagues to ensure timely and high-quality development of key documents, including regulatory submissions, protocols, development plans, etc.

-Work with finance department and cross-functional team to track project budgets and resourcing needs and proactively flag issues; participate in annual budget and forecasts

-Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred

-Minimum of 10 years of drug development experience is required

-Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is required

-PMP certification is desirable

Required Knowledge And Abilities:

-Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential

-Ability to understand the science of the indication/therapeutic area and the molecule in order to effectively document issues and agreements

-Strong understanding of drug development processes from strategic and operational perspectives (including regulatory understanding, clinical operations feasibility, etc.)

-Able to facilitate activities across many disciplines represented on drug development project teams

-Ability to manage and direct work in a matrix environment; ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

-Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills

-Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities

-Proven meeting planning and team facilitation skills

-Ability to work independently in a proactive manner

-Able to create, track and plan timelines and budgets

-Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint & Word

-Travel as required to collaborate with global teams

-Learning agility and 'scalability' to take on increasing responsibility as the client grows
