Contract to Hire Opportunity We have a new requirement in Northridge, CA area for a Dispatch Field / Printer Technician to provide break-fix field service including desktop support and IT installation. Systems may be POS systems or desktop / laptop units. Candidates must live in zip code 91324 and be willing to work any shift, 10 am to 7 pm.
- This is a driving position which requires a DMV background check to be completed
- Use of reliable, personal vehicle required - miles reimbursed according to CompuCom policy
- Technician will travel to each client s location to provide service
- Must maintain good customer focus meeting deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs desktops, laptops, servers, and printers
- Works under general supervision
- Field service experience supporting desktops, laptops, printers, and POS
- 2+ years of customer service experience required
- Installation experience a must - mounting equipment to walls, countertops, etc. on various surfaces such as tile, steel, brick, and other materials
- Reimaging and updating OS experience required
- Printer break-fix experience (more than consumables and setup)
- Ability to work weekends, staggered or late shifts possibly including evenings and/or weekends
- Interpersonal skills needed to interact with a wide range of users and environments
- Must be able to follow written instructions
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver s license required (driving position - reimbursed accordingly)
- Ability to work from a bent, crouched, or kneeled position
- Must load company apps on a personal smart phone
- Ability to work on a ladder or lift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- CompTIA A+ and/or other tech certifications preferred
