Job Title: Project ManagerLocation: Northridge, CAStart Date: 6/28/2021Duration: 5 monthsPay Rate: $40.00 an hourHours: 40 hours a week About the role:The Technical Program Manager (TPM) is a 5-month contract role (with potential extension), responsible for overseeing a technical data collection project in Northridge, Los Angeles, CA. The project involves the administration of an automotive simulation test to test subjects, collecting data from various sensors that is then provided to engineers for further processing and analysis.The TPM will be the primary contact for this project, interfacing with upper management and engineering, as well as with test subject recruiters. The TPM will manage up to four test operators, who will in turn administer the tests and help maintain the test equipment. The TPM will manage the project status, help manage and mitigate issues and risks, and will manage the scope, timeframe, and quality of the project.Requirements:

  • 5+ years of related experience in program management, project leadership, and/or account management
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering; IT and information systems; technical management; or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to articulate decision making/outcomes with internal and external stakeholders
  • Must have a "whatever-it-takes" attitude using leadership skills within a collaborative teamwork environment to accomplish the necessary results
  • Demonstrable track record for successfully managing complex projects
  • Proven ability to track and drive action items so that the team maintains their committed schedules, deliverables, and expected level of quality.
  • Proven and effective communication, analytical, judgment, initiative, and execution skills
  • Recent significant systems/software experience with complex solution development

What is Nice to Have
  • PMP and/or ScrumMaster certification
  • Experience in consulting and/or client-facing role, including international projects
  • Strong technology background in system design for automotive, software architectures, artificial intelligence, and embedded systems.
