Your Role

The Network Analytics team supports the Network Analytics with financial analysis, fee schedule development, provider contract modeling with a behavioral health focus. The Data Analyst Consultant will report to the Senior Manager of Network Analytics. In this role you will develop reporting strategy to enable the business to monitor operational performance, support regional strategy cost of healthcare initiatives and provide contract analysis support to the behavior health contracting team.

Your Work

In this role, you will:
  • Develop and conduct evaluations and studies within limited time frames and produce analyses that are easy for non-technical persons to understand
  • Lead/coordinate the design and implementation of reports that integrate data from multiple sources, including design of reporting systems and standardization of metrics and formats across departments and functional areas
  • Prepares financial Models to support contracting strategy and provides guidance to Contract Managers
  • Coordinate interaction between data analysis teams and support functions including information systems, provider relations and medical management
  • Develop reporting tools to enable operational leaders to monitor performance metrics according to contractual specifications
  • Assist internal business partners to make key decisions drawn from insights gathered through trend and/or comparative analysis
  • Present effectively to internal business partners on analytics/reports/presentations that are critical for to demonstrate the value of various interventions for specified population compared to like cohort
  • Proficient in SAS including developing SQL queries to set criteria and parameters, synthesize data, conduct, and interpret quantitative and qualitative analysis into actionable insights

Your Knowledge and Experience
  • Requires an MPH, MBA, MS, MA in science, social science, public health, health svcs research or business, or BA/BS with demonstrated equivalent work experience
  • Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires at least 5 years of experience in Health Care (managed care, academic, or gov't payer)
  • Preference to Associate of Actuaries (ASA)
  • Must be able to develop and modify SQL scripts and be able to wrangle large datasets, join multiple datasets. Preferred working experience with SAS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to automated systems and operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Must be able to create data visualizations to effectively narrate an actionable data story. Preferred working experience with Tableau Desktop, Power BI, or Business Objects
