Supply Chain Specialist III or BUYER role: Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): • Lead new materials readiness with Manufacturing, Quality, and Warehouse during facility and process start-up phase • Ensure a controlled flow of key raw materials timed to support site start up and commercial launch • Lead resolution and mitigation plans of materials issues at the site; escalate and coordinate with Global if required and advise in network mitigation plans • Create and execute raw materials plan, placing purchasing orders, follow up on open orders • Collaborate with suppliers and Sourcing to ensure OTIF • Provide timely updates to stakeholders on status of readiness activities and related projects • Report and escalation on material supply issue and constrains including root cause and preventive actions • Investigate and resolve problems, identifying root cause, and lead projects to drive improvements. • Establish or update standard operating procedures (SOP’s) as required and process controls to obtain and maintain an efficient and effective department • Partner with all relevant stakeholders, global supply chain, manufacturing, quality, QC, finance • Monitor functional area data quality reports and metrics identifying master data errors and identify revisions to data quality reports, new tools and/or processes to proactively prevent, identify, monitor and correct master data errors to resolution • Assure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. • Other duties as assigned Your Profile • Bachelor's degree and 5 years in supply chain or related discipline or 5 years of operations or supply chain experience at a pharmaceutical, biotech or medical company • Advanced analytical skills • Working knowledge and understanding of current Code of the Federal Regulations (CFR's) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's) • Experience with Change Control Management, Deviations and CAPA Systems • Experience with Oracle EBS, SAP or similar is strongly preferred • Proficient in MS Word and Excel • APICS certification and/or relevant course work • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this reciprocal work environment • High energy level and a positive outlook to achieve personal and organizational goals and overcome obstacles • Thrives in a startup, fast-paced environment with ‘can do’ attitude under minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership in areas of responsibility • Willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description
