Job Description Ability to architect, design, and implement wireless solutions for Enterprise networks using Cisco technologies Design large scale wireless networks with high capacity WLAN controllers spanning thousands of AP over multiple (local) locations. Demonstrated experience implementing both on-prem Cisco wireless networks especially with 9800 controller-based systems (physical and virtual) Determine switch, router, and wireless hardware requirements and configurations, and develop, execute, and implement complex configurations. Develop device configuration files from scratch and make modifications to existing configuration files in production switch, router, and WLAN systems. Will also be required to configure L2/L3 switch and router-based QOS in LAN and WLAN devices. Design, implement, and support WLANs by performing and documenting 802.11 wireless surveys. Experience using Ekahau or AirMagnet to design, survey and analyze wireless networks for optimum performance Experience using Ekahau Survey and Spectrum Analyzer, analyzing collected RF data to determine cell boundaries, AP power settings, and noise and interference sources Determine AP placements and deploy APs and perform post-implementation surveys in order to optimize WLAN performance. Diagnose difficult network performance problems and interact with application support teams to diagnose network or application performance issues. Must know how to quickly trouble-shoot network issues related to asymmetry. Considerable knowledge of 802.11a/g/n/ac/ax wireless protocols including Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E Knowledge of L2/L3 and wireless security features including access-lists, VACLS, firewalls, WPA, TKIP, CCKM, LEAP, Cisco WLC, WCS, CAPWAP and LWAP. Hands-on experience and well versed in utilizing networking tools and applications, such as Wireshark, Solarwinds, and other wireless troubleshooting utilities. Any additional wireless experience implementing and supporting Aruba and Meraki networks a plus. Active Aruba certifications such as CCNA-W, CCNP-W, CCIE-W highly preferred. Additional industry certifications such as CWNA, CWNP or Aruba ACMA, ACMP, and ACMX a definite plus. Ekahau and/or AirMagnet Professional Certifications a plus.wireless SME. Located in SOCAL or within 2-3 hour flight. Probably up to 25% travel for this one if they have to fly. 120k-170k if a rockstar with certs.

The Network Engineer III position provides IT infrastructure engineering for Network and infrastructure upgrades, changes, troubleshooting, relocation and migrations specializing in advanced Cisco solutions.

Must have extensive knowledge of high performance data center solutions, network infrastructure LAN/WAN, network security, and enterprise wireless infrastructuresExpert knowledge of Cisco Routers (ISR GEN1/2), Switches (including NEXUS and Catalyst Line), Security Appliance is a strong plus (ASA, ISE, IPS, Prime MARS, NAC).Expert knowledge of WAN Circuits, MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, FR/ATM, ACLs, TCP/IP, IPXExtensive experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting VLANs using CISCO equipment, to include intimate knowledge of Spanning Tree Protocol, VLAN Trunking Protocol, inter-VLAN routing, IPV6 and trunking with ISL and 802.1qStrong knowledge of VPN IPSec/SSL solutions and hands-on deployment experienceKnowledge of Load Balancing for Web systems and e-commerce usesIn-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, NXOS and other technical configurationsExperience with monitoring, alerting and management tools such as: Ethereal, Solarwinds, Orion Network Monitor, hp OpenViewHands on experience with wired/wireless ISE deployments, ASA, Firepower, AMP, Prime Infrastructure, Security posture assessment, and Security Policy generation is a strong plusNexus experience: 9K, 7K, 5K, 2K, 1KCisco Experience (4507s-vss, 3750s, 2960s, MPLS, VPLS, PSTN, LANStrong customer facing skillsAbility to work under pressureExperience with F5 a plusCisco Certified Systems Engineer (CCIE) in any disciplineDesired/Preferred Qualifications
