DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join a fantastic team in the Inland Empire. The Senior Accountant must have a solid understanding of accounting principles with the proven ability to apply such principles in performing all aspects of general ledger activities. Strong ability to own, organize and prioritize tasks and projects with an acute attention to detail and accuracy are essential to this role. Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills are necessary while meeting time sensitive deadlines, maintaining confidentiality, and using discretion and good judgement with sensitive company information.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statement production on a timely basis.Reconcile general ledger balance sheet and expense accounts and prepare balance analysis monthly.Perform bank reconciliations.Oversee the management and review of payable authorizations.Work with the merchandising team to record inventory additions and adjustments and other store sales activity into the general ledger accurately and timely.Prepare the fixed assets schedule, recording additions, disposals and depreciation on a monthly basis.Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales tax returns for store sales activity on a timely basis.Review and back up payables function.Assist Controller and Sr. Manager, Accounting with production of auditsAssist in the development and refinement of processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Assist with ad hoc assignments.RequirementsMinimum Qualifications4+ years of progressive accounting experienceBS/BA in related field is required.
