Architectural and Engineering Firm in South Orange County is looking for a Structural Designer with 5+ years of professional experience in AUTOCAD. Experience on commercial projects with a structural emphasis and experience with structural detailing is required. This is primarily a production position and includes producing AUTOCAD documents as the main task.
Designers Duties:
Production of structural construction documents using AutoCAD
Develop structural engineering elements and features
Work with a team and communicate effectively
Prepare structural layouts and drawings per design criteria
Create CAD files that maintain company drafting standards
Coordinate with structural engineers to produce accurate construction documents
Ensure accuracy in meeting the client expectations for site specific requirements according to building codes
Coordinate with other disciplines within the project team and external sources, as required
Perform project specific duties, as directed from a supervisor
Designer Qualifications:
5+ years commercial structural drafting experience
Knowledge of structural standards, principle design concepts, symbols, and fundamental language.
Strong communication skills
