We are a Venerable and established restaurant in Newport Beach that specializes in Hawaiian Food and Thick Steaks and fresh fish.
In the coming weeks we are going to be adding a Sushi menu to are already world renowned cuisine and work under our Executive Chef
Requirement:
- Have experience as a sushi chef in busy restaurant working under pressure
- Can work full time 5.5 days/week (50 - 55 hours/week)
- Flexible schedule and be able to work on holidays
- Have positive can do attitude, no drama, quick, clean, responsible and healthy
- Be a good leader as well as good team player
- Bilingual is a plus
Dutiesinclude but not limit to:
- Be able to make sushi, nigiri and sashimi in good speed with nice presentation along with giving service to customer at sushi bar
-Be able to prep and prepare ala minute Tempura Vegetables, Meats etc.
- Know how to prepare/ cut/ fillet fish/seafood into proportion
- Be able to work/assist at both kitchen (will train) and sushi bar when were short workers/ as needed
- Schedule/ train/ monitor/ assign work to sushi chefs & kitchen crews
- Look after services/ urgent situations of the restaurant as required
- Responsible for shopping, purchasing, ordering and managing inventory
