QCP is growing! Were what happens when functional concrete meets innovative artisanship. Although QCP has been in business for more than 40 years, we have recently embarked on combining the success of our core products to include the expansion of an exciting new product platform that also embodies our creativity and forward design passion. As QCP metamorphoses into our exciting new identity, we are looking for a dedicated HR partner to work hand in hand with the CEO to intentionally build and rebrand our company into one that is as forward thinking and innovative as our design team!

Our newly defined HR Manager role will be fun and exciting. In this role, you will need to become fully immersed in our culture and be able to identify any improvements you see fit. This position isnt just to scare staff into behaving or for someone who wants to focus solely on employee relations, this position is to help QCP as a whole improve upon the the exciting culture we have created and assist in enriching the employee experience, overall company organization and HR processes we already have in place (making happy people happier).

Skills/Qualifications

Ownership mindset: The HR Manager will need to run their area with the same care and attention to detail as you would have if the business was your own. You will need to make sure both that we are compliant with current laws and that we are staying ahead of any law changes in order to adjust to them as an organization. You will also need to invoke perfectionism in our HRIS data-entry, payroll, and other processes owned by the HR department.

Customer obsessed: While QCPs HR manager role is not an external customer facing position, internal employees, vendors, legal consults, and government agencies will be your customers. It will be imperative that you are able to treat any form of customer you interact with at an equal level of care and enthusiasm.

Adaptability: As with any things dynamic industry, things can change in a moments notice. Approaching any quick changes with an unfazed, positive attitude will be an inspiration to the team, and being able to lead by example by not letting changes affect you in a negative way are all important traits in this position.

Trustworthy: As is typical with any HR position, access to confidential information and involvement in closed-door meetings will be commonplace. Any and all confidential information will need to remain as such, and there will be no room to compromise in this area. QCPs HR Manager should be the epitome of a true confidant to the organization, and there should never be a time where anyone in the organization has any doubts about privileged information remaining as such.

Strong Communication Skills: We have a diverse, forward-thinking team from top to bottom. Being able to communicate your thoughts concisely and in a way that others understand is extremely important in this role. Even tough news needs to be delivered in a professional and easy to digest manner.

Culture Champion: Despite being in a position that can be intimidating for some to approach, HR Manager needs to be just as easily approachable as any else in the organization, from the receptionist all the way up to the CEO. Having an approachable, caring, and enthusiastic HR Manager has a positive impact on the overall morale of a company, increases employee engagement at all levels of the organization, and creates an atmosphere where employee relations related meetings are positive and impactful without an air of negativity or fear.

Experience

8+ years HR experience with 3+ years in a leadership role.

Bachelors degree or higher required with emphasis in Human Resources.

SHRM and/or SPHR certification preferred.
