Leading swim manufacturer in Orange County is looking for a Jr Fit Tech to join their team! Swim experience not required but is a plus!
Responsibilities include:
Communicating with overseas and Mexico factory's for correct sample production.
Work within calendar timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
Attend all fitting of PP's and TOP's and make notes on any construction related issues that need to be communicated to factories.
Work with designers, pattern makers, and production team on all quality issues in order achieve desired production results.
Develop complete Tech Packs with detailed specifications, fabrications, and technical drawings from Designers inspirations
Prepares spec sheets with detailed technical information
Technical liaison between design, sourcing, and production and provides technical guidance to overseas suppliers
Handles and oversees product development cycle from sketch to tech pack creation, fit approvals, proto to final bulk approval
Responsible for preparing and managing fit sessions, assuring samples have detailed fit comments.
Identify and resolve fit and corrections issues with a solution to correct, resolve and communicate fit and construction issues to overseas factories within the development and production timelines
Establishes and maintains fit and construction standards to ensure brand consistency and quality
Enhances fit and quality through review of customer comments, competitive analysis, and conducting fit sessions
Maintains design records and ensures line sheets are up to date
Skills Needed:
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office Suite, & Outlook
Working knowledge of Photoshop
Basic knowledge of pattern making, construction, sewing and fit
Swimwear knowledge helpful
Detail oriented/eye for detail a must
Organizational and time management skills
A team player a great work ethic
Quick learner
Do whatever it takes to get the job done
Help other team members when necessary
Knowledge in Product development and Technical Design
Strong understanding of garment construction and fabric types
Knowledge in pattern-making and grading
Look book, line sheets, flat sketching and specifications
