Nelson Staffing is currently hiring
Forklift Operators neededin the city of Buena Park, CA. Immediate Opening in Graveyard shift.
Forklift Driver/Warehouse Associatewill be responsible for all aspects of Forklift Operations, Order Pulling, Staging, Loading and Unloading.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform all aspect of Unloading Trucks, Checking in Product, Check Purchase Orders to Sales Orders.
Must be able to read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and any requisitions to determine if an item will be moved, gathered or distributed and or shipped.
Will be moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated area.
Sort and place product on racks, shelves or in a bin according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style color or product code.
Fill Requisitions, Work Orders or requests for product and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
Pull customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
Will be marking materials with identifying information using an appropriate method.
Open bales, crates and other containers
Will maintain inventory control on stock rotation by recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed by using a RF handheld device.
Assist with physical inventory and cycle counting.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and use the buddy system for any unstable or heavy loads.
Use the forklift when necessary (must be certified)
May be operating a stock picker (must be certified) with required harness and lanyard.
May be assisting with changing propane tanks (PPE’s provided and required)
Must be able to use a small ladder to reach, clean or stack freight.
Steel Toe Shoes Required and
not provided by company.
