The Psychologist provides mental health services including psychological testing to clients at Seneca Family of Agency Mental Health Clinics in Santa Ana, Lake Forest and Anaheim. The Psychologist also collaborates with a treatment team, consults with Therapists to inform treatment and provides referrals as necessary.

Location:

Anaheim, CA

Responsibilities:

Accept and respond in a timely manner to referrals of children and adolescents who present with symptoms of psychiatric disorders

Complete assessment and evaluation process of assigned clients, including completion of appropriate tests, instruments, tools or assessments in accordance with accepted professional standards and Medi-Cal guidelines in order to support the development of the client service

Complete all required performance outcome measures for any clients assigned in accordance with set timelines

Ensure that all Medi-Cal documents include appropriate signatures and are signed within required time frames

Participate in all required meetings regarding case plan development and/or review

Keep Clinical Supervisor, assigned therapist, and Program Director informed on any case issues as necessary

Maintain availability for crisis intervention services by providing office staff with updated contact information including contact information and weekly work schedules

Complete and submit all progress notes and billing documents within 36 hours of the contact and in accordance with Medi-Cal format for documentation

Complete regular, timely reviews of all assigned cases at six-month intervals in accordance with Medi-Cal format and timelines

Attend weekly supervision with assigned supervisor as required by the Board and Seneca Family of Agencies

Attend staff meetings and trainings as requested by supervisor or administrator

Comply with all requirements of child abuse reporting, Medi-Cal compliance and confidentiality, including HIPAA, in accordance with standards set by law, Medi-Cal regulations and Seneca Family of Agencies

Comply with agency policies and procedures as outlined by supervisors, administrators, agency handbooks and manuals

Meet or exceed Medi-Cal productivity requirements of 100 DSH per month

Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in psychology or similar field and licensed (PhD or PsyD) by the state of California

Two years post licensure experience in the field of mental health

Experience providing mental health therapy to children and families and working with children who are part of the child welfare system

Experience with adoption and issues of family relationships in adoption a plus

Knowledge and experience utilizing psychological testing instruments for children and adolescents

Valid California drivers license and ability to be insured by Senecas insurance carrier
