POSITION DESCRIPTION

Qualified individuals will be proficient with the below tasks and be able to learn industry/company specific software as needed.

We are looking for a Full-Time Desktop Support Specialist with some System Administration experience who will be responsible for all operations as they pertain to Training Consultants' networks, servers, computer workstations, and telephone VOIP system. Day-to-day tasks will include configuration, installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of various computer systems including desktop computers, printers, LANs, Intranets, Servers, etc. The role will be 90% desktop support and 10% system administration. We are looking for a candidate that lives within 30 miles (door-to-door) of our office in Santa Ana, CA.

POSITION DUTIES

Administer equipment procurement processes and inventory management.

Maintain and install computer systems, servers, office 365 accounts, phones, and printers throughout the organization.

Being the first point of contact for all IT related issues.

Troubleshooting

Add and maintain user accounts; assigning application access, ensuring security, and maintaining their configurations are within standards.

Provide end-user support, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in person, remotely and over the phone.

Install workstations, printers, software, phones, etc. on the LAN; set up user workspace.

Perform business application and operating system maintenance and updates.

Create, enhance, and maintain documentation related to system administration and systems standards.

Implement, install and configure new software.

Assists with backup and archiving.

Helps install and maintain network equipment.

Assists with the administration, support, and maintenance of the VoIP telephone system.

Promptly address and resolve IT support tickets, tier one support requests, in the ticketing system.

Follow-up with the end users to assess and resolve their technical issues.

REQUIREMENTS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner.

A+ certified or similar (preferred)

3+ years' experience with Windows system configurations and troubleshooting (Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 and later)

Hands-on using helpdesk ticketing systems (Spiceworks, Zendesk, etc.) to manage customer requests

Experience administrating Office 365

Proficiency with troubleshooting concepts, ability to analyze break-fix situations & meets deadlines with minimal supervision

Team player and open to learning & mastering new IT concepts

Associates Degree in a technology related field, MCSE certification or equivalent experience. (Bachelor's Degree preferred)

A minimum of 3 years in supporting a medium to large company.

Understanding of both on premise and azure Active Directory administration.

Experience supporting Phone systems (Ring Central, Cisco, VoIP), Backup systems.

The ability to analyze and improving system efficiency.

Administrating network security using IP tables, Public DNS services, and firewalls.

Experience troubleshooting server and workstation issues including operating systems, networking, and hardware.

Experience in diagnosing complex technical issues.

Understanding of standard security concepts and practices.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of the principles of data communications and telecommunications, and computer operating systems.

Knowledge of local area network concepts and fundamentals and server management.
