General Contractor looking to hire an experienced diesel mechanic to add to our team to help maintain our fleet. We are predominately a "Duramax" family, and work our trucks hard, and need someone that has experience with service and repair. Having a comfort with this type of motor is a definite perk, and borderline mandatory. Our shop is located in Fullerton, with the vast majority of our workload being in Irvine and Newport Beach. Along with our fleet, we have a dozen or so dump trailers and many golf carts, bobcats and other machinery that will need to be maintained (those often are in the field). A valid drivers license is required, comfort in towing trailers is required, Strong diesel machinery knowledge is required.
This is a 40 hour per week position, Monday - Friday, and in order to maintain a 40 hour workload, there will be times when delivering materials to the jobsites and moving or dumping trailers will be required.
If you are a mechanic that can hold your own in a shop, but just want a different dynamic or atmosphere then most mechanic shops have, this might be the opportunity to grow in a different field with knowledge and skills that you posses.
