Accessible Procurement Contractor HighlightsParticipate and provide input/work in Campus Audits/Surveys to assist in the implementation of the capability maturity model (CMM) from project initiation to completion. Participate in systemwide working groups of accessibility experts in the effort to develop and document exemplary procurement business processes that integrate accessibility into the existing campus business processes for product/service adoption. Provide explanations/guidance when necessary to colleges and supporting communities. Conduct Information and Communication Technology product/service accessibility reviews based on federal and state standards, documenting results and summarizing findings. Assist in preparing and documenting exemplary equally effective alternate access plans for products in consultation with the accessibility community of practice or the CCC Accessibility Center staff experts. Conduct Systemwide training in reviewing products for accessibility, in relation to procurement. Serve as a team member when providing technical reviews/suggestions as assigned for accessibility procurement reviews.

Required SkillsKnowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures related to area of assignment including, but not limited to: Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act; Americans with Disabilities Act; California Government Code 11135 and 7405; Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act; Section 225 of the Telecommunications Act, WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and other web accessibility legislation. Effective writing and presentation skills Ability to work collaboratively and effectively Ability to analyze and solve complex problems

Preferred SkillsAbility to adapt to changing CCC Accessibility Initiatives, and readily adapts behavior to maintain effective performance; understands the long-term direction of the CCC Accessibility Center and can relate this to departmental area; adapts to new methodologies; identifies and acts on areas where change is appropriate.
