A growing, nationally acclaimed food seasoning company is seeking an experienced Quality Compliance Manager. The ideal candidate is experienced in food manufacturing or similar industry with positive energy and has a great team spirit.
Quality Compliance Manager is responsible for:- Providing leadership and direction for product quality and safety, technical support in product development and sales support. Document creation for sanitation, compliance, audits, recalls, GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, and FSMA.
- Monitoring daily quality activities such as pest control, chemical control, foreign material control, allergen testing, etc.
- Prepping 3rd party audits, supports, makes recommendations, monitors company GMPs, SSOPs, OSP, and policies on daily basis.
- Serves as Food Safety Management System (FSMS) team leader to ensure the training of Food Safety team members, ensure that the FSMS is established, implemented, maintained, and updated
- Ensure compliance and record keeping for all mandated quality checks, testing, sampling, and sanitation activities.
- Prepare and maintain Non-GMO Project Compliance (FoodChain ID) and Nutrition Facts (Esha).
- Prepare and Maintain Product Specification Sheets, Food Service and Retail Labeling.
- Collaborate with management team to make sure that the entire company is aware of compliance requirements and issues.
- Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.
- Develop initiatives to improve plant performance against company's quality measures and ensure plant compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field.
- Proven experience as a QA/Compliance Manager.
- 5+ years experience in quality control or corporate policy auditing.
- 2+ years supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of current regulations affecting manufacturing companies.
- AIB, SQF experience or similar protocols preferred.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and the Code of Federal Regulations.
- Certified compliance professional is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact effectively with peers and managers.
- Bilingual -English/Spanish beneficial.
