Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Services organization is seeking a full time Operations Manager reporting to the IT Program Director of ES, Information Technology Solutions. The Manager will lead IT Operations Management for the program. This position is located in Palmdale, Ca, but entails direct and matrixed management responsibility of various locations as defined by the IT Statement of work. The candidate will manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, processes, and other initiatives and serves as liaison between program management, other managers, and multiple project teams or individual contributors. Responsible for projects status, budgets in order to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. The successful candidate will support the Program Director with operational decisions and will conduct briefings and meetings for internal and external representatives. The Manager will be responsible for the administration, planning, scheduling, communications, problem resolution, deliverables, and technical performance of the operations activities defined in the SOW and project charters including oversight of multiple projects, processes, and other initiatives of significant complexity, size, risk and complex interdependencies. They will direct and manage the formulation of technology goals, policies, and overall strategy; and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure client-satisfaction regarding project and/or process goals and objectives and strategic initiatives; and provide guidance to the Service Desk team and other subordinates based on organizational goals and company policy. The Manager will serve as mentor and point of contact for staff members to escalate, coordinate, and resolve issues and participates in goal-setting, drafts and delivers team member performance evaluations. Basic Qualifications: • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor degree. • Current Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret. • Ability to obtain SAP/SAR Program Clearances. • The successful candidate will have experience working within a classified environment and understand how an infrastructure must abide by government requirements. • General experience with Data Networks (WAN/LAN), open systems server, workstation HW and SW service platforms. • Proven experience with Network Storage infrastructure (HW and SW) and Network and host-based security and associated management systems. • Prior mid-level or advanced experience as an IT Leader. Preferred Qualifications: • Project/Program Management experience. • Demonstrated performance in working in a fast paced matrixed resource environment while delivering a quality work product and having positive customer satisfaction. • Prior mid-level or advanced experience as an IT Leader. • Candidate should possess good interpersonal and leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong willingness to learn. • Experience in a high impact, business critical environment. • Be driven to deliver highest level of uptime and service to the customer base.
