DescriptionThis role handles financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position requires top-notch analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Provide monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Requirements
Strong time management skills preferred
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Hands-on experience with job costing
Quality experience with month end closings
Good understanding of Month-end Journal Entries
Proven knowledge of Annual Financial Reporting
Comprehension of Monthly Accruals
Analyze Financial Statements experience preferred
Skills in Monthly Account Reconciliation
General familiarity with International Financial Reporting
Well-founded grasp of Monthly Financial Reporting
Experience with financial auditing
Previous experience working with Month-end Reports
Practical knowledge of Monthly Financial Reports
Cost accounting experience preferred
Experience with Ad Hoc Analysis
Wide ranging experience with Month-end Close Activities
Cost accounting experience desired
Ad Hoc Financial Analysis experience
Prior experience with job costing
Earlier work involving Month-end Financial
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Excellent attention to detail
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Efficient in ERP systems
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
