Staff Accountant / Controller Palm Springs
Our Company
Our Company has recently celebrated its 38th year in the Desert. During that time, we have grown from a simple manufacturer to a major supplier of humidification and cooling systems throughout the world. Currently, we export more than half of our production to some 20 countries.
We are seeking a new member for our team of hard working professionals. Under the direct supervision of our President, our new Staff Accountant will take over complete responsibility for all accounting and controlling functions.
Qualifications
Degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience
Experience in working with manufacturing inventory
Experience in Human Resources would be a bonus
Working knowledge of Sage ERP 100, Microsoft Excel, Word
Strong attention to detail and the ability to think logically
Possess good interpersonal skills.
Work collectively with other professionals to achieve goals.
Must be able to write clearly and succinctly so that documents can be easily read by others.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will report to the President and will perform all duties associated with Financial, Inventory, and Office Controlling matters of the company.
The successful candidate will work in a team scenario in conjunction with the current staff.
The successful candidate should have a strong work ethic.
His/her quality of work will be above average.
He/she shall have the ability to collect information and transfer it to writing in a simple and clear manner.
He/she will always be on the lookout for areas of improvement and make constructive suggestions to management.
He/she should have long range goals and aspire ultimately to be in a managerial position.
Duties
Report all critical data to upper management
Daily bookkeeping and filing of records A/P A/R
Inventory management and reporting
Sales tax filing
Maintain Payroll and Audit Records
Oversee year end Tax Reporting
Compensation
Wage will be competitive and commensurate with ability and experience.
401k and life insurance after 90 day period
