Controller//Office Manager
RESPONSIBILITY OVERVIEW
This is an integrated position for a full charge bookkeeper to include management of accounting, bookkeeping and general HR functions as well as those specific to the nursery industry. We DO NOT use QUICK BOOKS; we use Sage Businessworks. POS system is an inventory based system called Winward. Position is full time, year round with benefits.
Daily Responsibilities:
Supervise team of administrative and cashiering personnel.
Manage all aspects of payroll to include weekly check run, commission compensations & compliance filings.
Oversee POS system, sales, inventory & cost analysis reporting and audits.
Responsible for administrative tasks involved in hiring and dismissal of employees. Manage employee benefits to include such things as health insurance and a 401k plan.
Handle all issues related to insurances, contracts and various financial risk management practices related to the business; to include review of customer credit terms, A/R collections, sales efficiency and the like.
Preparation and posting of requisite governmental compliance documents.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a minimum of 3 years experience in accounting and HR management.
Bachelor's Degree in accounting preferred. MBA welcome
