Job Summary:
Serve as the facilities maintenance and engineering technician for the Community Association at Sun City Palm Desert. Responsibilities include performing technical and general facility maintenance functions. Ensure that all support and service is conducted by trade code and fulfilled in manner consistent with the standards, goals and objectives of the Community Association.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform general maintenance tasks at all facilities under the responsibility of Facilities Maintenance.
2. Perform all technical and general maintenance – mechanical (golf cart fleet maintenance), HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical repairs, pool repairs, carpentry, painting, and Life & Safety response procedures.
3. Change air conditioning air filters as per maintenance schedule.
4. Change light bulbs as scheduled and as needed for proper lumination.
5. Provide assistance with delivery of supplies, materials and equipment to various areas.
6. Perform preventive maintenance schedules and update log book.
7. Assist in the technical operation of all aquatic facilities.
8. Respond to all emergencies and alarms.
9. Give technical support to the audiovisual staff.
10. Communicates and interacts with all levels of personnel in receiving direction and clarification in accomplishing tasks.
11. Comply with the Community Association Safety Program and meet Cal OSHA requirements and standards.
12. Maintain accurate timekeeping records on the Time Log and the clock.
13. Perform other duties as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Assistant Director.
