EMPLOYEE OWNER POSITION PURPOSE:

The Irrigation Manager/Contracts Administrator serves first and foremost as the individual solely responsible for oversight of the centralized computer irrigation system and all data input and adjustments as required for ongoing execution of the Desert Princess Homeowners Association (HOA) centralized landscape irrigation. This individual oversees and monitors the daily performance of the HOA landscape contractor to ensure high quality performance related to irrigation and turf quality. Additionally, a future role will be oversight of certain third-party vendor Association contracts.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and administer the computerized central irrigation system related to HOA irrigation, including data input and adjustments as necessary.

Review and monitor all requests for changes to the irrigation computer settings and run times for the HOA.

Review and monitor irrigation practices within the HOA by third party contractor.

Perform field inspections of irrigation within the HOA.

Review HOA moisture monitoring results and formulate irrigation run times as a result of seasonal changes.

Interface, as appropriate, with the Golf Course Superintendent regarding computerized central irrigation for the golf course.

Once the centralized irrigation system is fully functional and streamlined for the HOA, provide contract administrative oversight for certain Association contracts, as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of Associate’s degree in turf management or horticulture

Minimum of 3 years’ experience with multi-zone irrigation systems

Solid knowledge and training of Rainbird Irrigation systems, including Rainbird Series Version 10 software

Must have experience in operation and maintenance of irrigation systems and related electrical and hydraulic systems

Must have irrigation auditing and backflow knowledge

Must have irrigation experience with manual watering techniques, troubleshooting, adjustments/auditing, basic irrigation repair, and field experience

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, and other relevant irrigation software

Ability to meet deadlines and address time-sensitive issues

Superior multi-tasking skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

Ability to provide high-level customer service with astute attention to detail and organization

Must be a team player

Ability to manage workflow amid shifting priorities

Willing to learn Company processes and procedures, and learn/use proprietary software

Adaptable and dependable with a solid attendance record

Professional and respectful demeanor with all internal and external customers at all times

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and driving record in compliance with Company policy

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Use standard office equipment, including: computer, phone, copier/scanner, etc.

Be stationary for periods of time

Lift and relocate up to 25 pounds

Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

Possibly travel to and from offsite locations

Monday-Friday from 6:30am-3:00pm

This position may require occasional long hours to meet business needs.
