The Solar Installer reports directly to the Crew Leader. Working as a three-man team, the Solar Installers are charged with providing customers with the best installation available. They must represent the company in every action taken while on the job. They must never forget that they are in, around or on someone's home and treat that with the utmost respect. Although this position starts at an entry level, it is a key factor in the success of our company. Their dedication to performing the highest quality installation is paramount to maintaining and growing the company.
Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with and take direction and training from the Crew Leader.
2. Install and secure all safety equipment (ladders, and mats) prior to the start of work.
3. Be fully prepared for work with all proper tools.
4. Prepare the loading and unloading of materials on job sites.
5. Understand and perform the solar array layout.
6. Remove and reinstall roof tiles (notching where required).
7. Install rails, racking, and modules.
8. Conduit bending and wiring.
9. Keep job site clean and orderly at all times.
10. Keep company vehicles clean and maintained.
11. Act in a professional and courteous manner when dealing with the public.
12. Keep track of and maintain company tools daily and report any lost, stolen, broken, defective or faulty tools.
13. Keep appearance and hygiene presentable and wear proper attire.
Desired Qualifications:
1. NABCEP Entry Level
2. Solar Experience
Required Qualifications:
1. Clean Driving Record (valid license, no DUI in the last 5 years and no more than one point on your driving record)
2. Drug-Free
3. Agility and grace in working on rooftops
4. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
5. Work outdoors in extreme conditions
