FULL TIME ROLE

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYResponsible for all aspects of security, maintenance, monitoring, performance analysis, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and user assistance required of database enterprise. Additionally responsible for all problem and issue trend analysis, including present and future infrastructure and capacity planning for all resources required of the databases being managed. Will work closely with the Network Engineering, Business System Analyst and Internal Development teams.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Four (2) year degree in MIS/IT plus business related experience; Or four (2) year degree in Business with MIS/IT focus; or two (2) years technical degree related to personal computers and three (3) years MIS/IT or business experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Candidate must be familiar with Casino Gaming customer databases and player tracking systems.
  • Candidate must possess basic knowledge of SQL extraction or be able to attend training.
  • Participates in the development, testing, and optimization of database applications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 – 2019, Postgres, MySQL, and Oracle Databases.
  • MCDBA (Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) or relevant certifications are viewed as a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
  • Monitor relational databases to optimize database performance, resource use and physical implementation of databases; address a variety of database integration issues including migration between disparate databases, integration, maintenance/conversion, capacity planning issues, and new application.
  • Monitor and manage database backups and logs; Install, maintain and upgrade database software; Restore and/or recover data as required.
  • Assist in the

    installation and testing of new products and improvements to transactional and reporting database systems advise with regard to server environment on which databases reside specifically to performance and capacity analysis
  • Coordinate with IT Engineering to ensure server consistency and performance benchmarks are achieved.
  • Provide oversight of report development and reporting infrastructure needs.
  • Participates in the development, testing, and optimization of database applications.
  • Refreshing databases as needed by developers or functional teams.
  • Provides excellent customer service.
  • Complies with all applicable Tribal regulations, internal controls and policies and procedures.
  • Documents and reports all exceptions/variations/deviations immediately upon awareness.
  • Peoplesoft Access Administration.
