Maxar is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical/Communication System Test Engineer to join our team in Palo Alto or San Jose, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for validating Spacecraft system functionality and verify both performance and compliance through testing and analysis. Systems test engineers are involved with most phases of the manufacturing product lifecycles that involve multiple parts of the spacecraft, including requirements and test definition, assembly, integration, test verification and validation operations. The initial focus of this role will be on RF Communication Systems and secondarily will support Electrical Systems testing and validation.Responsibilities:- Create and ensure test plan comply with test requirement document
- Create test files and tables to be used as part of the test system execution
- Directs test setup and perform both RF and Electrical test system/equipment validation and calibration
- Analyze data and troubleshoot any test-related issues
- Provides daily activity direction and assist in training RF/Electrical technicians
- Write and review test procedures and resolve documentation discrepancies
- Support cross-functional groups to meet deadlines and maintain Spacecraft schedule
- Ability to support 24x7 Spacecraft schedules, when needed
- Occasional travel required for duration of up to 60 days to support testing campaign, foreign and domestic
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field. Four years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with RF test equipment operation and calibration
- Interest in aerospace, systems, or electrical engineering
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Experience or interest in process improvement techniques
- Some basic level of Programming language skills
- Strong fundamental RF theory knowledge
- Some knowledge of communications, and Electrical circuits and interfaces
