Writing code and unit tests, working with API specs and automation

Identifying opportunities for adopting new technologies

At the core of Software EngineeringEvery member of our team must be able to demonstrate the following technical, functional, leadership and business core competencies, including:Agile Practices

How will you make an impact in this role?Function as member of an agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)

Demonstrate increased self-reliance to achieve team goals

Participate in code reviews and automated testing

Debug basic software components and identify code defects for remediation

Enable the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments

Automate deployments in test or production environments

Automatically scale applications based on demand projections

Minimum QualificationsStrong programming knowledge in Java/Python/GoLang.

Experience in developing REST APIs.

Experience in building Micro services.

Good Understanding of Bigdata / Hadoop ecosystem with Hands on Spark and Hive

Strong experience with Relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL/Postgres, Couchbase, HBase, Elasticsearch)

In depth understanding of Kafka and hands on pub/sub implementations

Experience with any of the Container Orchestration technologies – Kuberenetes, OpenShift etc.

Successful track record of developing middleware solutions, with a strong focus on code quality, unit testing, integration testing, code quality analysis tools and API (Swagger) documentation.

Working in an Agile or SAFe development environment is a plus

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
