We hire engineers who can tackle hard problems in new areas and help define new markets.Responsibilities:

Be part of an engineering team building NSX functionalities for the public cloud

Intense eagerness to learn, ready to dive deep into complex problems

Develop new functionality, automation tests and help maintain existing code

Work in a dynamic Agile development environment and being adaptable to changing requirements

Guide fellow engineers and collaborate with other engineering and product teams on new technologies and ideas

Be resourceful, curious and driven. Push the envelope in adopting new technologies, best design practices to ensure our products are the best

Continuously review the product and code for optimizations and performance improvements.

Document architectures, procedures, and processes in use and contribute to improvement of the process.

Improve and maintain the highest quality levels of NSX Cloud data plane code

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

3-5 years of relevant industry experience preferably in Networking and Security

Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including, ideally, software defined networking in a virtualized compute environments

Skilled programmer, familiar with C/C, Java, Python, Unix shell scripting and Object Oriented concepts

Familiarity with Windows networking driver experience or Linux operating system and its networking constructs

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters or Ph.D Degree

Knowledge of public clouds particularly in network and security areas

Expertise and real passion for working on the data plane area of networking

Hands on experience working on software in public clouds - AWS/ Azure

Strong problem-solving, and debugging skills

Experience designing for scale and performance
