Network Engineer

DescriptionRobert Half Technology is looking for a Senior Network Engineer with 6+ years of experience. Responsible for the day-to-day administration, troubleshooting and oversight of all network infrastructure/services. This is a technical role, which requires strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Should be an excellent communicator with good written and verbal abilities. The ideal candidate would have the opportunity to participate in various Network and Security product deployment projects, along with day-to-day operations/support.Location: Palo AltoDuration: 4 months - contract to full-timeRequirementso Co-ordinate with application owners as well as infrastructure teams like monitoring, backup, windows and Linux to ensure proper functioning of the setup.o Understand the unstructured work, come up with a plan, review it with needed parties and implement it.o Install, configure and manage network infrastructure devices (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers and AP's, SSL VPN, WAN compression, etc.).o Maintain and ensure the reliability and performance of LAN, WAN, and VPN components and technologies across our customers.o Respond, troubleshoot, identify root cause and remediate issues in a complete, documented and timely manner.o Maintain network equipment for worldwide sites. Replace hardware (working with on-site resources), resolve technical issues and manage support with manufacturers and ISPs.o Experience working on Datacenter and Corporate network environments.o Minimum 3 years hands-on expertise in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including: Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless, and network monitoring tools.o Must be proficient working with various hardware vendor including Cisco (IOS, IOSXE, NXOS), Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, FortiGate, SonicWall, Aruba, Meraki.Technology doesn't change the world.
