Required:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, and 5+ years of experience in related field

Preferred:
  • 5+ years of experience with the following o Experience with hosted environments such as AWS, Google Compute Engine, or Azure o Designing and building MDF/IDF infrastructure o Network equipment from Cisco, Juniper and Aruba / or other vendors or Wireless network design, tuning and troubleshooting with Aruba o Implementing and tuning network and systems security in a large, complex multi-site environment o Operational knowledge of DNS, DHCP and IPAM management through Infoblox Travel:
Some travel may be required to support new office builds and retrofit
  • Provide operational support for the corporate network infrastructure by resolving complex issues, developing and implementing network & telecom systems, and supporting the expertise development of others to drive optimal operation of network & telecom systems.
  • The job's core deliverables rely on delivering service to internal clients, usually at the manager or employee level. May involve sharing subject matter expertise to others in the organization or supporting others in their efforts to deliver on our promise.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Complex Issue Response and Problem Management
  • Responsible for interacting with internal customers via e-mail, chat and/or phone to understand and resolve issues and problems with the network & telecom services.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all issues and problems are worked on either directly or through other teams until the issue is resolved.
  • Responsible for ensuring issue and problem documentation is updated to allow for more efficient and optimal response in the event of future occurrences, which also includes providing training to junior level engineers
  • Production Implementation
  • Support the design, development, documentation, implementation, and operation of the network & telecom systems, including prototypes into the production environment Detailed System Monitoring
  • Responsible for checking system operational performance using manual and/or automated reporting procedures. If any parameters are outside of prescribed boundaries, an issue is opened and managed.
  • Major System Changes per supporting documentation, processes, and training
  • Responsible for implementing changes to the network & telecom systems based on documented procedures and training.
  • Detailed Report creation and distribution
  • Responsible for executing manual and/or automated reporting procedures and for the distribution of the reports to prescribed documented groups and individuals.
  • Responsible for evaluating reports for individual parameters that deviate from prescribed boundaries and if found, opening an #issue# for management Dependability and Time Management
  • Completes assigned tasks on time and predictably. Has the ability to prioritize assigned tasks and organize activities for optimal outcome. Additional Job Functions:
  • Triage new reported issues and take direct action where applicable or escalate to higher level support groups.
  • Act as a mentor to lower roles and support continuous process improvement activities. Working with their manager and/or director, this role will help set individual and team goals, and be involved in the performance review process.
  • Additional responsibilities include training new hires. Business Accountabilities:
  • Develop simple business cases for defined projects in own area of IT expertise, to determine potential benefits, clarify the rationale for investment and support the planning process.
  • Prepare draft manuals based on the accepted changes to IT policies and procedures, to ensure they are up-to-date and reflect the new policies, and that internal partners and external suppliers are in line with SLAs (service level agreements), risk and compliance.
  • Look externally to research primary data sources, select relevant information, continually evaluate key themes in technology make recommendations to inform policy and/or product development in own area of IT.
  • Identify existing IT assets for new opportunities where possible (e.g. re-use), research best practice and review and analyze detailed business models to support senior management in developing and improving IT processes and systems.
  • Act as technical expert in a specific process or product area, conducting process reviews and initiating change in order to contribute to continuous improvement of services to internal customers.
  • Provide specialist advice to address specific technical queries from internal clients and design/develop and deliver appropriate solutions, in line with the organization's policies and processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the delivery of assigned IT projects in own area of expertise for specific lines of business, collaborating with IT colleagues from across the wider function to agree an approach for project / program management.
  • Act within a number of complex processes and procedures and use in-depth knowledge to solve internal customer issues or escalate appropriately to manager, internal partners, or external vendors.
  • Record and report core metrics, and ensure internal partners and vendors meet defined policies / SLAs (service level agreements) on information management.
  • Work with colleagues across the IT function to ensure plans are aligned to functional Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans and policy.
