Position: Senior Software Engineer Python and Strong SQL Location: Palo Alto, CA (Remote to start) - candidate will be able to work with PST time zone 10 am -5.00 pm Interview Type: Phone & Skype Visa Type: Any visa Citizen, GC-EAD, -EAD, TN-Visa, H1B and NO OPT Duration: Long Term Contract Seeking a Senior Software Engineer will plan, design, implement &/or test the Client's big data infrastructure, ensure best system performance, data integrity and security. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Six to eight years of relevant experience in programming and testing of software applications
- Python
- Strong SQL
- Java is Preferred
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java required
- Strong SQL skills and database knowledge required
- Clear understanding of big data system concept and design methodology
- Proficient understanding of algorithms, data structures, architectural design patterns and best practices
- Knowledge with modern Server architecture, such as Spring Boot, Spring
- Strong Linux/Unix skills as an end user
- Design thinking mind-set to understand and fulfill solutions from end users' requirements
- Experience in an Agile Development environment
- Experience in building microservices, will be a plus
- Familiarity with one of the core cloud provider services, preferably AWS or Google Cloud, will be a plus
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes will be a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven collaboration and influencing skills
