DescriptionAccountemps is looking for a Senior Accountant for a long-term temporary opportunity. Working as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing
Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests
Continually improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Assemble monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Prepare reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts
Other projects as required
Requirements
Ability to meet deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
Strong organization skills
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
This position is suitable for candidates that are proficient in financial reporting systems
Expertise in Venture Capital
CPA experience desired
Deep understanding of Venture Capital
Private Equity experience preferred
Adeptness in Form 1099
Experience with Hedge Fund
Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
5+ years of overall general accounting experience
Efficient in ERP systems
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates
Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
