Job Description - Java Software Engineer
Senior Java Engineer 6 Month Contract to Hire Palo Alto, CA Hybrid Remote OptionsAre you a skilled Java Developer looking to make your mark and be a pivotal influence on a green-field solution? You will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle and partner continuously with your many stakeholders daily to stay focused on common goals. You will work in a collaborative, trusting, thought-provoking environment-one that encourages diversity of thought and creative solutions that are in the best interests of our global customers. You will be part of a team to build a next-generation payment processing platform to process high volume of transactions per day.This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including but not limited to:- Computer science engineering degree or equivalent.
- 6+ years of experience with SDLC.
- Strong expertise in building distributed applications using the core Java spring framework.
- Strong expertise in building RESTful microservices using spring boot application.
- Strong expertise in RDBMS.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, message brokers like Kafka, and distributed cache systems like REDIS.
- A clear understanding of application and data architecture disciplines.
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Mid-level expertise in Dockers and Kubernetes.
- Prior experience in Banking/FinTech sector is a plus.
- Prior experience in cloud-based technology like AWS is a plus.
