RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in search of a Big Data Engineer in Pasadena, CA.
Summary:The candidate will serve as central to implementation of the analytical model design and execution of solution patterns by building, aggregating, and manipulating rich datasets that will support the analysis, models, and data visualizations developed by the rest of the team. The roles will work primarily with software developers, database architects, data analysts, data scientists and other data engineers.REQUIREMENTS: Strong SQL writing skills Sound understanding of areas of computer science such as algorithms, data structures and databases Experience with relational databases Software engineering experience with expertise in at least one high-level programming language (preferably Python, Power BI) Experience with Linux command line and bash scripting Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks e.g. MapReduce, HDFS, etc.Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
