Server Engineer needed to support a Cyber Security project to update old 2008 servers and applications to current OS application version levels.One of the best and beautiful hospitals in Los Angeles!The primary purpose of the Server Engineer role is to ensure the health and security of the server and related support systems for our client, a 24x7, healthcare system.The Server Engineer will be responsible for the build, support and maintenance of Windows Servers, VMWare, Active Directory and Citrix and will participate in implementations, upgrades, deployments and migrations.
- Two (2) or more years work experience supporting MS servers, VMWare, Image deployment, Desktop systems or storage
- Working experience of VMWare installation, configuration, and use of associated tools
- Demonstrated competence with Windows Server Family, Exchange, and client operating systems
- Experience in Active Directory Services maintenance and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of DNS, DDNS, and DHCP
- Backup design and maintenance
- Ability to work with 1st and 2nd level support personal
- VMware vSphere and vCenter experience
- VMware Horizon and VDI infrastructure
- Proven track record for comprehensive, systematic troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Patch Management of servers and PCs using tools such as WSUS, MDT or Microsoft SCCM
- BS degree in Information Science/Computer Science/Software Engineering/Business preferred IT Certifications preferred
- Experience: 2-4 years practical experience in providing systems engineering build, support and maintenance from a highly regulated, enterprise environment preferred
- Experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, VMWare and Citrix required Health IT experience preferred
