DescriptionA well-known company is seeking a Payroll Clerk to fill a challenging position. Are you a Payroll Clerk eager to join a team? This position will call for a variety of duties, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. Being able to effectively communicate with both internal team members and outside customers is integral to this position. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Pasadena, California area and is a long-term temporary employment role.Your responsibilitiesAdminister and distribute reports as instructed
Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Gather data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Configure custom reports
Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
Supply the organization with instructions/training regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals
RequirementsStrong organization skills
Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
Previous payroll experience
Enthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideas
Payroll software experience is a plus
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
