The Report Writer/Data Analyst is responsible for working with colleagues to analyze, design, build, test, deliver and maintain reports, dashboards and other data extracts requested. The position requires an understanding of the Cerner Millennium database and associated reporting tools: CCL, PowerInsight (Business Objects Webi/Rich Client). In order to be successful, the ideal candidate will be an expert in developing reports using Business Objects Webi as well as constructing complex SQL statements in a healthcare payor environment. The analyst will also be responsible for working on reported production issues in addition to contributing reporting expertise while assigned to project teams. The analyst will work closely with clinical and revenue cycle architects, decision support power-users as well as report consumers across the organization. The analyst should thrive in a client-focused environment and demonstrate his/her dedication to implementing best practices and systems improvements. Ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as a willingness to learn new things. Documenting business and system processes and procedures through the use of industry standard process flow and flow charting techniques is also important.
Job Requirements Extensive knowledge of CCL/DA2 and Cerner HNAM data model (+3 years). Skilled in writing CCL/DA2 reports for a wide range of areas (any or all of these areas would be a plus)Pharmacy: MAR reports, Labels, Med Reports, etc.Orders: Requisitions, Order Sheets, Stop Order Reports, Patient Summary, Unsigned Orders, etc.Order Catalog: Virtual View, Order Catalog Audit, etc.Clinical Documentation: Reports written off of PowerForms and EMAR charting.Scheduling: Appointments by Type, Appointments by Resource, Request List, etc.FristNet: Patient Tracking, Doctor Event Tracking, etc.RadNet: Orders by Requesting Service, Cancelled Procedures, etc.Genviews and Genspreads: Kardex, 24 hour patient view, etc.Smart Templates: Using RTF formatting to display dataMpages: Creating mpages from scratch and modifying existing mpagesRevenue Cycle: Payment, Adjustment, and Charge transaction reports, bill item build reports, etc.Extracts: Large data extracts for research, reporting, etc. Skilled in multiple output formats for CCL reports. PDF, HTML, Postscript, .CSV files, .XLS files using XML, Labels, RTF, Genviews, Layout Builder, Smart Templates, and Mpages Knowledgeable in multiple Cerner data models: Order Catalog, Nomenclature, Cerner CMT, Scheduling, Orders, Pharmacy, Radiology, First Net, Clinical Event, Revenue Cycle, Care Management, etc. Fast Lerner, able to pick up data models and areas quickly when needed. Effective communicator, problem solver, and team player dedicated to achieving goals Knowledge of Cerner's data model and architecture. Expert in constructing complex queries using SQL and strong understanding of database architecture and design (physical and logical). Expertise with relational database query (SQL) skills and large databases.
