Job Description

The Planning & Scheduling Manager is responsible for analyzing material availability in support of customer requirements, developing and implementing release strategy, communicating factory priorities, identifying barriers and solutions to enable the factory to meet production rates, and taking appropriate action to ensure program goals are achieved. Theymust be able to coordinate activities between numerous groups and clearly communicate material status and identified risks. The Planning & Scheduling Manager must operate effectively in a results-driven environment, maintaining accountability for data integrity including inventory accuracy, delivery metrics, and utilize tools to mitigate schedule risks. They will be responsible for setting the standard and driving operational consistency throughout the organization as aligned with company, business, and operations initiatives. This includes ensuring the full compliance of company policies and procedures as well as identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using six sigma and lean methodologies.

  • This role requires daily collaboration across a variety of functional and program areas through data analysis, simulation, and fact-based influence to maintain organizational goals and objectives. These groups include Factory Operations, Customer Care, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Service Center Operations.
  • The individual in this role will need to quickly develop credibility and influence while leveraging strong interpersonal and leadership skills; aligning the operations execution plan to meet critical customer deadlines with supply chain strategies and financial targets.
  • The successful candidate demonstrates a drive for innovative solutions and proven team leadership skills.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing leadership experience within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience within Operations or Supply Chain.
  • Strong Material Resource Planning (MRP) knowledge, Microsoft Dynamics preferred. Tableau experience a plus.
  • Ability to set and work towards goals at a big picture level but effect change at a detailed operational level.
  • Ability to understand complex systems and processes.
  • Ability to filter and distill relevant information from complex datasets into simple messages.
  • Ability to mediate discussions between stakeholders with varying objectives and arrive at consensus.
  • Strong management skills including the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision, goal setting, delegation, coaching, and motivating.
  • Experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Must be a well-organized professional, problem solver and innovative thinker with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook/Skype.
  • Able to follow processes, make decisions, prioritize, manage time effectively, learn quickly, and have a sense of urgency.
  • Able to work flexible hours including OT and weekends on an occasional basis.
