Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. If you think you can participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, this role might be right for you. This could be the ideal position for you, if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.Key responsibilitiesSupport the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable
Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting Requirements - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Strong familiarity with account reconciliation
General ledger experience preferred
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Great attention to detail
Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
