POSITION SUMMARY
Administers effective physical therapy evaluation and treatment per
physician orders for patients in their homes and assists with the
organization and teaching of educational programs to further staff
development.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure/ Certification:
Graduation from a school of Physical Therapy with a minimum of a
B.S. or B.A. degree and successful completion of a clinical
internship required. MA preferred. Current CA Physical Therapist
license, CPR and BLS certificates required. Must meet all DMV
requirements below and have adequate transportation.
Knowledge:
One year of professional experience as a Physical Therapist
preferred. Knowledge and understanding of physical therapy
evaluation and treatment. Knowledge of infection control
procedures and proper body mechanics.
Skills:
Ability to follow directions accurately and will establish
effective relationships with patients and fellow employees.
Ability to assume responsibility for updating skills as required
by hospital policy. Ability to walk and stand for long periods
and to stoop and mechanically operate wheelchair accessories
repetitively throughout the day. Has the ability to position and
transfer dependent patients in and out of bed without
assistance. Willing to drive in inclement weather.
Requires: A current CA Driver's License, a clean DMV printout and
proof of automobile insurance coverage in an amount not less than
$50,000 per person/$100,000 per occurrence (or a combined single limit
of $100,000) and property damage coverage in amount not less than
