Our client is one of largest retailers in the world. Yet their IT department is nimble and dynamic and works with cutting edge technologies. They are currently in need of a UI/UX Software Engineer - Martech to support HTML work for Adhoc Static and Adhoc Modular batch campaigns with hands on HTML, CSS, UI/UX Design experience. Role requires person to be 80% hands-on and 20% co-ordination . Position: UI/UX Software Engineer - Martech Location: Pleasanton, CA Duration: 12 Months Job Responsibilities: We are looking for a UI/UX Software Engineer - Who combines strong leadership and organizational skills, with solid prioritization and attention to detail abilities. You must have sound judgment and strong reasoning skills, as well as good analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively convey compliance policies. As a UI/UX Software Engineer you will play an integral part within our Martech Department. This will involve assisting in a variety of development functions, including working with end users on application development to meet their needs, and special projects. Specific duties in this role include: Problem solving, thinking out of the box skills Communicate in-person and remotely Test and debug code Complete projects in a timely manner Develop using multiple languages both front end and back end Work autonomously on multiple projects Specific wants for this position include: Solid understanding of Web Page Development Process Ability to work in a cross-team environment Management experience is plus. Experience with one or more of the following: React, Angular, Vue, or something similar Strong Experience with HTML and CSS. Detail oriented Self-starter with the ability to work proficiently both individually and within a team. Adobe Creative Suite (or other designer tools) HTML, CSS and Bootstrap Basic JavaScript skills Familiar with Less and Sass Understanding of responsive design and touch interface interaction techniques and be in sync with recent design standards and trends Understanding of the limitations of web and mobile, with approaches/ideas to flex those boundaries. A solid portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating great user centered design solutions across multiple interfaces and screen sizes. Create user centered designs for software projects by considering customer feedback Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of new web and device software applications Create and evaluate interaction models, user task flows, screen designs, and UI details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience Breakdown complex requirements and concepts into well thought visual designs and workflows Ability to work collaboratively with developers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are successfully created and implemented to achieve the user goals Experience creating UI specs & wireframes. Flexibility and willingness to move from idea, to whiteboard, to execution quickly and provide choices to stakeholders. Configuration management tools Git or similar Basic understanding of JavaScript framework experience (React, Angular, Vue) Expert skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, or any other design tools Any UX certs are a nice plus Basic Qualifications: Shall have a minimum of seven (5) years of experience in software engineering/development and/or systems engineering/analysis A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science. Must possess experience in all phases of software engineering to include requirements analysis, development, testing and integration, maintenance, and problem diagnosis/resolution and/or experience in phases of applications systems analysis to include evaluation and design, integration and optimization of complex systems Must have experience with communication applications, database management, use of programming languages and knowledge of storage and retrieval methods.
