This position will work with dedicated product teams to help ensure product quality on web, mobile browser and mobile app. At least 3 years doing software testing on web and mobile app is required.
Note: Initially the position will be remote due to COVID-19, as soon as the things are back to normal, the position will be 100% on-site in Pleasanton, CA.Top 3 - 5 Daily responsibilities:- Work closely with project team members (e.g. product owner, business analyst, scrum testers) to get a deep understanding of the application under test and identify User Acceptance Test (UAT) needs both for web and mobile.
- Work side by side with software engineers to improve overall software quality and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Responsible for all the UAT activities and deliverables of the assigned project(s) including but not limited to, identifying test scope, test scenarios, writing detailed test scripts, test data preparation, test execution and test reporting (e.g. defects, test metrics, etc.)
- Communicate status, issues, impediments, risk to scrum team and escalate issues appropriately to lead/manager.
- Attend projects meetings such as release planning, scrum meetings, daily stand-up
- Must have hands on experience on testing web, mobile browser and mobile applications both on IOS and Android for at least 3 years.
- Must have worked on an agile/scrum work environment for at least 1 year and has working knowledge in using agile tools such as Jira (a must), Confluence (nice to have), Qtest (desirable).
- Must be experienced in doing User Acceptance and know the difference in doing UAT vs. functional testing.
- Ability to handle multiple projects/products to test that may be on different stages of development
- Working experience on automation using Selenium. At a minimum, has working experience on how to modify/run/configure using already existing automated scripts/framework.
- Knowledge on responsive design testing, Optimization (AB test), accessibility testing
- Knowledge on mobile app automation (Appium)
- Knowledge on visual testing automation (Applitools)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills both technical and user focused;
- Strong attention to details
- Good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines;
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision
- Quick learner and enthusiastic
- BA or BS in Information Technology, Computer Science OR equivalent experience required; High School Diploma/GED Required.
