DescriptionSAIC has an immediate opening for a Senior Software Engineer to perform critical testing for a new USN EW capability. The candidate must have extensive experience with work in EW programs and must be able to work on a fast paced team that has the responsibility to test in a new USN test facility. Extensive software coding and beta testing will be performed and a variety of hardware related testing development and integration in a government facility is required. A prospective candidate must be physically capable of a variety of tasks within the facility and will be required to take certified Fall Prevention training.Qualifications

The candidate must have 20 years of experience writing software and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

The ability to obtain and keep a secret clearance is required, an active clearance is desired.

Extensive experience in designing GUI interfaces and writing code in C, C and C# using Microsoft Visual Studio is required.

Additionally, the candidate will need to have expertise using Bosch Rexroth Motion Logic Programming Interface, National Instruments RoboRio, LABVIEW, and SCPI forInstrumentation andGPIB interface. Experience working in PC and Linux environments is required.

The qualified candidate will have test and evaluation experience in radar waveforms and Radio Frequency (RF) systems, NGJ experience is desired.

Understanding and good working knowledge of the laboratory equipment used in support of this type of testing, including signal generators, spectrum and signal analyzers, power meters, microwave amplifiers, arbitrary waveforms generators, and IR monitors is required.

The candidate shall be professional and motivated with extensive problem solving skills.They must possess the ability to communicate effectively and be able to work alone and with a team.

Must have a BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences.

Must be able to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance.

Previous US Government Engineering experience is a pre-requisite for this position.

Must have previous experience in programming and creating remote interfaces with laboratory equipment including signal generators, spectrum and signal analyzers, power meters, arbitrary waveforms generators and IR monitors.

Must have test experience using microwave amplifiers, radar waveforms and supporting INTEL, RF simulators airborne antennas and RF systems.

Must have expertise in Graphics and Graphical User Interface (GUI) programming with Motif, Xt, Xlib, and Visual Studio.

Must be knowledgeable in C/C, C#, FORTRAN, Pascal, MATLAB, LabVIEW and Basic languages.

Must have experience with UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems on Silicon Graphics, Sun, PC, HP, MAC, Alpha, DEC platforms.

Experience with Pod lifts is a must.
