GDIT is a government contractor providing professional and technical services to various government agencies (i.e. defense). We are currently looking for a Systems Test Engineer to join our winning team. The individual hired for this position will provide support for our government customer located in Point Mugu, CA. Performed as Senior Technician / Test Engineer / Agile Product Owner (PO)/ Subject Matter Expert and production team member on various platforms of AN/ALQ-231 (V1), (V3), and integrated on multiple weapon systems, KC-130, AV-8B, F/A-18 and UH-1Y. Set up laboratory workstations and instrumentation to complete defined test scenarios. Constructed weapons systems (electronic warfare pods) from mechanical and electrical drawings. Managed test scenarios, assisted closely with the design of electronic systems and specifications in support of program requirements. Troubleshot combat systems using standard and unique diagnostic test equipment to identify alternative resolutions for complex systems. Trained personnel on laboratory operations, testing, troubleshooting, system repairs and safety procedures. (PO) responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders, including other POs, to define and prioritize for Team 3 production.- Fabricated, tested, maintained and repaired Electronic Warfare platforms and equipment for the Marine Corp Spectrum Integration Lab for the Department of the Navy.
- Increased (V3) production effort executed lab operation fundamentals, troubleshooting and repairs. Used established Electronic Warfare lab procedures to build (V3) pods from start to system test
- Constructed, repaired, spliced, soldered wiring, replaced coaxial, USB, Ethernet, and electrical connectors per mil spec standards using wiring, logic diagrams, drawings and schematics for various combat systems, (V1 and V3)
- Performed Mandatory Inspections on maintenance to ensure compliance with military and safety regulations
- Troubleshot multiple system failures using standard test equipment i.e. Fluke meter, Oscilloscope, and spectrum analyzer, as well as the AN/USM-670 Joint Service Electronic Combat Systems Tester (JSECST).
- Collaborated with Physical Configuration Audit (PCA), aided in identifying deficiencies, used established processes to simplify difficult to manufacture production line items, streamlined procedures, to ensure accuracy and completeness of products and implemented solutions
- Constructed multiple (V3) pods for UH-1 (Y) helicopter, created diagrams and operating guides.
- Configured lab workstations and consoles to assist in testing various components of (V3) pods
- Partnered with systems engineers in testing and troubleshooting 30 (V3) amplifiers and couplers during the Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP)
- Worked with other engineering disciplines to review draft mechanical and electrical drawings to developed maintenance and operational procedures for the end users of the systems.
