In this position, you will be responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements, as well as establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. ResponsibilitiesCompleting monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate mannerFollowing federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actionsPreserving historical records through accurate filing of documentsTracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedulesAssembling the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and income and cash flow statementsPerforming accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collectionsReconciling bank and general ledgers, and processing payrollOverseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepersCompetence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurateAbility to multitask efficiently and prioritize workRequirements2+ years of experience in the bookkeeping fieldCapable of working independently with minimal oversightDemonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignmentsBackground in payroll preferredExcel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience desiredA deep understanding of accrual and cash basis of accountingHigh school diploma or comparable diploma with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferredSolid understanding of PaychexHighly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities If interested, please email your resume to jonahdine.sison@roberthalf.com for consideration.
