Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?The Senior Specialist will play a key role in enabling the company to coordinate capital work in alignment with Transmission and Distribution’s (T&Ds) broader asset management framework.This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager of the Capital Project Coordination team - under the Asset Management Strategy and Engineering (AMS&E) department of T&D.A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

Lead development of business process documentation related to coordination activities

Creation of process flows in Visio or comparable tools

Aids in effective management of timing of scope initiation and release efforts in partnership with Design Engineering and Work Management

Provide a variety of quality checks related to capital projects ensuring justification is accurate and complete

Support activities related to managing data requests for capital projects

Monitor status of projects and provide information to multiple stakeholders, as needed

Responsible for maintaining up-to-date information on project changes and ensuring project documentation aligns with those changes

Manage capital project review meetings, including status of approvals, to ensure scope aligns with requirements and is within allowable budget

Manage risk documentation and support prioritization of capital projects

Creation of job aids and assisting with or leading training, when needed

Performs other related duties and responsibilities, as assigned

QualificationsThe essentials

Experience with Microsoft Excel performing advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, MATCH, INDEX, IF-THEN logic), and creating pivot tables and charts

Five (5) or more years of work experience in an analytical position that involved analysis of projects, organizing information or work activities, and/or executing project tasks

The preferred

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related field

General knowledge of electric utility industry and equipment

Familiarity with the IPSEC (Initiate, Plan, Schedule, Execute and Close) Work Order Process Model

Strong oral and written communication skills and customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to stakeholder needs

Experience developing and delivering presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences

Experience using Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote and Visio

Experience analyzing, gathering, and compiling data from different sources and formats (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Oracle, SQL, XML, etc.)

Experience using Design Manager (DM)

Experience working well under time constraints with ability to self-manage priorities and multiple demands while maintaining attention to detail and producing high-quality work with minimal direction

Demonstrate strong ethics, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning

Hands on experience developing analytical dashboards and reports with Power BI or SAS Visual Analytics, is helpful
