Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?The Specialist of Project Support will perform project support and analytics for the Engineering Project Support group. Assignments will range from work group initiatives to department level goals and directives. It is critical in this role to be able to work as a team member in a demanding environment, and to seek/accept coaching and feedback while pursuing continuous improvement.This position will report directly to the Manager of Project Support Group under the Organizational Support & Quality Engineering department within T&D’s Asset Management Strategy and Engineering (AMS&E) OrganizationQualificationsA day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
Organize and track work efforts and information related to those efforts
Utilize Excel or other analysis-enabling platform to track projects and information
Set-up and administer SharePoint sites to organize, share, and protect information
Support various budgeting activities
With assistance of a subject matter expert, create flowcharts and write procedures for work activities
Read sources of information and extract relevant facts and findings
Participate in meetings/calls/presentations and extract relevant facts and messages
Support the general function of the Engineering Project Support group; up to 25% of work may be administrative in nature
Independently support other engineering groups/initiatives as assigned
Perform other related duties as assigned
The essentials
Three (3) or more years of work experience in an analytical position that involved analysis of projects, organizing information or work activities, and/or executing project tasks
Three (3) or more years of intermediate experience using MS Excel
Proficiency in MS Office programs such as Word and PowerPoint
The preferred
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Administration or other related field
Strong communications skills, both oral and written
Strong comprehension skills, both in reading and listening
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel performing advanced functions such as VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, graphing, and IF-THEN logic
Demonstrated proficiency in spreadsheet and presentation software tools to report out data trends and analysis
Previous experience supporting engineering related work such as project support, data analysis, and general administrative support.
Ability to work as a team member in a demanding environment, while seeking/accepting coaching and feedback and pursuing continuous improvement
