You’re a critical piece of the solution.Internship Program Overview:This position is part of Southern California Edison’s (SCE) University and Campus Relations Internship Program. The Summer Internship program is a 10-12 week paid opportunity to gain hands-on experience with meaningful work, while developing your skills, and building your network. The internship has an estimated start date of May/June 2020 and an estimated end date of August/September 2020.About T&D - Distribution:SCE's Transmission & Distribution organizational unit is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining the infrastructure to safely and deftly deliver electricity to SCE's customers throughout our 50,000 square-mile service territory. Our transmission assets deliver power from generating stations to our distribution grid, which brings the electricity to homes and businesses across Southern California.These positions will be for an internship at Southern California Edison (SCE)’s within the following T&D group:
Distribution Engineering: In addition to designing, constructing, and maintaining the electric distribution system, Distribution currently manages company assets and will oversee the construction and ultimate maintenance of distribution.
QualificationsQualifications You Need…
Be currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration or closely related field at an accredited institution with a graduation date of December 2020 or later
Other Stuff That Will Set You Up for Success…
GPA of 2.8 or higher
Have experience using MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Power Systems Engineering Experience
Experience with Microsoft Access, SharePoint, Visio, and SAP
Previous coursework or experience with Python, VBA, R, or SQL
Knowledge of AutoCAD, PSPICE, LTSPICE, or MATLAB
